Looking for a loyal, goofy, squirrel-chasing companion? Sammy is your guy!

This sweet 6-year-old boy has the perfect mix of playfulness and couch-potato charm. He’ll fetch a ball for hours, chase squirrels with laser focus, then happily curl up next to you to watch TV—or just keep you company while you read a book. He’s not picky about what’s on, as long as he’s with you.

Sammy is house-trained, knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay” (for a bit), and “paw,” and he patiently waits in the kitchen in case a delicious morsel drops. He sleeps on the bed and sticks close—he's got a bit of FOMO and loves being near his people.

He gets along great with dogs and currently lives peacefully with two cats. He’ll bark to alert you when someone’s at the door, but warms up quickly once he knows they’re a friend.

Some quirks: Sammy isn’t a fan of the upright vacuum or blender, but the Roomba? Totally fine.

Sammy would thrive in a home where he can be part of the action, whether it’s outdoor playtime or indoor snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, and deeply affectionate dog, come meet Sammy!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
