Meet Riley — A Sweet Senior Gentleman Looking for Love!

Riley is a happy, lovable senior boy with a simple wish—a warm lap to curl up in and someone to love him!

Sadly, Riley's owner passed away, and with no family members able to take him in, this sweet little guy is now searching for a new forever home.

Riley is a quiet, easygoing gentleman who loves everyone, especially those willing to share their laps! He gets along well with other dogs but prefers to stay out of the way of the younger, more energetic crowd. He's wonderful with children and seniors alike.

Riley is low-energy but still enjoys occasional bursts of playfulness. He walks beautifully on a leash, travels well in the car, and would love leisurely walks or gentle hikes with his favorite person. He's housetrained using a doggy door, although he may occasionally mark indoors. He's never needed to be crated.

One thing to know about Riley is that he's a typical little terrier who may dart through an open door, so his new family will need to be mindful of keeping him safe.

Riley would thrive in just about any loving home that appreciates the slower, sweeter pace of senior dog life.

This precious boy has lost the person he loved, but his heart is ready to love again. Could you be the one to give Riley the happy new beginning he deserves?

We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
