Pete
Size: Small
Age: Baby
Gender: Male
Breeds: Maltese, Crossbreed
Pete was found as a stray in Tennessee, where the local Animal Control Officer works with a small shelter with virtually no resources. Thankfully, their ACO goes above and beyond to find help for the dogs who come into their care, and Paws New England is one of the first places they turn to when a dog needs a chance. We love that she keeps looking for help for these dogs, and thanks to her efforts, Pete is now officially one of our lucky boys!Age: Baby
Gender: Male
Breeds: Maltese, Crossbreed
Unknown with Cats
We estimate this precious boy to be somewhere between 6 and 9 months old, and he's every bit the adorable puppy you'd expect at that age. He's all wiggly excitement, happy energy, and puppy charm! He's settling into his foster home nicely and, so far, is getting along with everyone, including the other dogs and the two humans who are helping him learn the ropes.
Pete has received his first vaccines and is scheduled for neutering this week. Once he's all set, he'll be ready to make his way to New England sometime in early November.
This sweetie has already had a helping hand from someone who refused to let him be overlooked. Now, we're looking forward to finding him the loving forever family he deserves!
A special note - this boy has no tail, not even a nub - we have no idea how you'll tell when he's happy to see you because he has nothing to wag!!
Stay tuned for more about Pete as we get to know him better,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption fees cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary. The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
