Meet Reeses — One of the Walmart Parking Lot Puppies!

Sometimes the right people are simply in the right place at the right time.

Reeses and her siblings were being sold in a Walmart parking lot in Tennessee when a group of young women from the University of Tennessee soccer team spotted them. Knowing one of their moms was a longtime Memphis animal rescuer, they stepped in—and these puppies were given the chance at the wonderful futures they deserved.

Reeses was initially adopted locally, but sadly, a divorce in the family resulted in her being returned through absolutely no fault of her own. PAWS New England stepped in, and now this sweet girl is getting another chance to find a family who will truly be hers forever.

This girl is an adorable Plott Hound mix who is everything a puppy should be—happy, curious, playful, mischievous, and full of puppy energy! She loves other dogs of all sizes, is kennel-trained, and is already showing everyone what a smart little cookie she is.

Reeses loves to play, explore, investigate her surroundings, and follow along with whatever the other dogs are doing. Once her puppy adventures are over, she’s also happy to settle in for some love and snuggles.

With her gorgeous brindle coat, Reeces is expected to grow into a stunning 60–70 pound adult. Her forever family should be prepared for all that comes with raising a puppy—including patience, consistency, training, exercise, and plenty of love.

Reeses has already experienced more changes than any young puppy should, but she remains the same happy, playful girl. We want her next home to truly be her forever one.
And yes… if you adopt a puppy named Reeses, you’ll probably have to accept that the peanut butter cup jokes will never end.

Puppy Adoption Fee:  $600.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)
                                      $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee applies to Massachusetts residents.

Adoption Fee Includes:
~Preadoption vaccinations, complete examinations, and microchipping.
~Spay/neuter surgery rebate, paid to the adopter once proof of surgery is provided to Paws New England. We are happy to provide a list of low-cost spay/neuter clinics upon request.

ATTENTION: 
Puppies are wonderful—but they are also a big commitment. Before applying, please make sure you're ready for the time, patience, and training they require.

>Puppies should not be crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
>Your home will need to be puppy-proofed.
>Expect chewing, nipping, scratching, accidents, and lots of supervision while they learn.
>If you have young children, be sure they're prepared for normal puppy behavior.
>Training, socialization, exercise, and consistency are essential.  

Unless you're an experienced dog owner and your Adoption Coordinator is comfortable with your experience, you will be required to attend puppy training and/or behavior classes. Our goal is to help you and your puppy build a happy, successful, lifelong relationship.

Important Information

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout the South and New England.

Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.

When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance. Thank you for supporting our mission and making rescue possible.
