The story of these puppies is nothing short of amazing.

Their mama, Grace, spent months surviving as a stray in Louisiana. A longtime friend of Paws New England, Melony, fed her regularly and patiently tried to earn her trust, hoping every day that Grace would finally let herself be rescued. When Melony realized Grace was pregnant, time became critical.

About two weeks before giving birth, Grace was safely trapped and transported by private vehicle to New England. On June 6, she welcomed these precious puppies into the world.

Not every mother dog can care for her puppies as we expect, and Grace simply wasn't able to meet their needs. After the first week, it became clear that she wasn't nursing them consistently, yet she wouldn't allow others to bottle-feed them while she was with them. The difficult but necessary decision was made to move Grace to another foster home, where she could relax, receive the one-on-one care she needed, and simply be a dog. She is now thriving.

As for her puppies? They are thriving too—and that's thanks to an incredible village. A dedicated team of volunteers stepped in to bottle-feed them around the clock, while their amazing foster mom has worked tirelessly to make sure they have everything they need, often sacrificing sleep to give them the very best start in life.

Now approaching four weeks old, these little ones are happy, healthy, and right on track. They've begun meeting the smaller dogs in their foster home, and those introductions have gone beautifully. They are growing up surrounded by loving people and well-socialized dogs, giving them a wonderful foundation for life.

As their personalities begin to shine, we'll update each individual bio with what makes each puppy special. For now, we're excited to introduce this remarkable litter and begin accepting applications for homes. They will be ready to go home at approximately 9 weeks of age after receiving their first vaccinations.

Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.
Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.
Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)
Housetrained:  Nope
Microchipped: Yes

Adoption Fee Includes:
~Preadoption vaccinations, complete examinations, and microchipping.
~Spay/neuter surgery rebate, paid to the adopter once proof of surgery is provided to Paws New England. We are happy to provide a list of low-cost spay/neuter clinics upon request.

ATTENTION:
Puppies are wonderful—but they are also a big commitment. Before applying, please make sure you're ready for the time, patience, and training they require.

>Puppies should not be crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
>Your home will need to be puppy-proofed.
>Expect chewing, nipping, scratching, accidents, and lots of supervision while they learn.
>If you have young children, be sure they're prepared for normal puppy behavior.
>Training, socialization, exercise, and consistency are essential.

Unless you're an experienced dog owner and your Adoption Coordinator is comfortable with your experience, you will be required to attend puppy training and/or behavior classes. Our goal is to help you and your puppy build a happy, successful, lifelong relationship.

Important Information: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout the South and New England.

Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.

When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance. Thank you for supporting our mission and making rescue possible.
