Say hello to Benjamin—affectionately known as Benji—a handsome, loving boy with a heart as big as his playful spirit. This charming boy is on the search for a forever home where he can truly shine.Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Breeds: Labrador Retriever, Crossbreed
Benji’s story began in TN, where he was found during a bitter cold snap by a compassionate EMT who made sure he got to safety.
In foster care, Benji has proven himself to be both gentle and affectionate. He shares his home with an elderly canine brother and has shown a wonderfully sweet and intuitive nature—often laying close by to offer quiet comfort on days when his buddy isn’t feeling well. He’s also done great with the family cat, making him a well-rounded addition to many types of homes.
While Benji has a tender side, he also has a fun-loving, energetic personality. He truly comes alive during playtime, especially when he has canine friends who can keep up with his enthusiasm.
Because of his excitement and zest for life, his foster believes he’d do best with older children who can enjoy and match his energy.
Benji is housebroken and is a joy to take on walks, as he does well on a leash. He also loves car rides, making him the perfect companion for adventures both near and far.
This sweet boy would thrive in a home that can offer plenty of exercise, playtime, and love. He would especially enjoy having an active canine sibling to run and play with.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and spirited companion, Benji might just be your perfect match.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
