Meet Payton, our spirited little adventurer all the way from Mississippi! 🐾 She caught our hearts (and the shelter manager’s camera) with her adorable face—and yes, her buddy Tucker was right there too, making it a dynamic duo. Payton was found exploring a neighborhood on her own, a tiny explorer with a big heart. She came in a bit on the small side, but she’s bounced back beautifully and is ready for her next great adventure.

At about 4 months old, Payton is pure puppy energy: playful, rambunctious, and endlessly curious. If it moves, she’s intrigued! She’s great with other dogs and adores people, making her the perfect companion for a family who can match her enthusiasm. While she hasn’t met any cats yet, we’ll be learning all about her feline preferences once she’s here in New England.

Payton’s dream? A loving home where she can grow, play, and be showered with attention (and maybe a few training treats along the way). She’s a little package of joy looking for her forever family—someone who will love her endlessly and keep her paws safely out of the streets. Could that be you?

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
