Tipper’s start in life has been anything but easy, but this girl is an absolute survivor.

At just about 6 weeks old, she was found wandering alone in the freezing Mississippi temperatures, weighing barely 5lbs. Somehow, she held on until someone picked her up. Her rescuers ended up putting her on Facebook, which is where one of our amazing rescuers saw her and got her to safety.

Not long after, Tipper became very sick with parvo. But his tiny warrior fought her way through and came out the other side like a champ. And since then? She’s been thriving.

Now that the hard part of her story is behind her, Tipper is fully embracing her puppy era.

She’s a happy, friendly, playful little girl with that classic puppy energy… zoomies, toys, curiosity, and just enough mischief to keep you on your toes. She would love a home with another playful dog or kids to help burn off all that puppy enthusiasm, plus a safe fenced yard where she can run, explore, and show off her moves.

Tipper is a big fan of toys (the more the better), and when the day winds down, she settles nicely in her puppy corral or crate for naps and nighttime.

She’s still a baby baby, so she’s working on the basics—she’s not fully housebroken yet but is doing well with puppy pads, and she’s just starting to learn the whole leash thing (it’s a work in progress, but she’s getting there!).

Tipper has proven she’s tough as nails. Now she just needs a family to grow up with, love her, and laugh at all her puppy antics along the way. Could it be you?

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle changes this puppy will bring. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
