Meet Dixie — the brindle beauty who was worth the wait! Age: Baby

Breeds: Plott Hound, Crossbreed

Dixie’s story began when she was just a tiny newborn. She, her siblings, and her devoted mama were brought into rescue for a fresh start. While several of her littermates were adopted through another rescue group, sweet Dixie had to patiently wait for her moment to shine.
And shine she absolutely has.
Now 8 months old, Dixie has been thriving in her foster home alongside a 12-year-old girl and two canine foster brothers. She has proven herself to be a well-rounded, happy pup who fits beautifully into family life. While she may still fill out just a bit, we believe Dixie is very close to her ideal forever size.
Dixie loves to play fetch and happily enjoys time romping with other dogs. She’s incredibly affectionate and never passes up the chance to give her human foster family plenty of sweet kisses. She is crate trained like a pro, walks nicely on leash, and is fully house trained — making her an easy and wonderful addition to a lucky home.
And let’s talk about that coat… Dixie’s stunning two-toned brindle makes her truly one of a kind. She turns heads everywhere she goes!
Dixie has waited patiently for her forever family — now she’s more than ready to bring her sunshine, snuggles, and playful spirit into a home of her very own.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
