Just look at this handsome boy! With his bright eyes, joyful spirit, and a personality that shines as big as his smile, he is truly one of a kind. He’ll even “talk” to his people — and has been known to yodel from his crate just to join the conversation. Life is simply more fun with him around.Age: Young

His story began on a lonely rural Texas road, where he was found wandering in bitter winter weather, starved to a mere shadow of the magnificent dog he is today. Yet even in those heartbreaking conditions, his spirit never dimmed. He remained sociable, hopeful, and happy — a true testament to his resilient and loving nature.
Now healthy, strong, and thriving in foster care, he has blossomed into an absolutely wonderful companion. His foster adores him and describes him as a dog who simply loves everyone. While he doesn’t currently live with children, he worked with two young boys during training and formed a special bond with them — the feeling was mutual. He would do beautifully in an adult home or with a family that has respectful older children.
With other dogs, he’s an easygoing friend. He gets along well with his foster siblings and would happily share his home with another playful pup. That said, he could also thrive as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.
He is both house trained and crate trained, traveling comfortably when needed. He has completed beginning obedience training and walks very nicely on leash. His trainer calls him a sweet, attentive student and wishes all her trainees were as eager and well-mannered.
Like many smart and athletic dogs, he once experimented with fence climbing when he first arrived in foster care. Those days are behind him now, and he is a dedicated yard dog who understands his boundaries. He may occasionally check the counters to see if a snack has magically appeared — but considering he once knew true hunger, it’s easy to understand. Importantly, he has shown no resource guarding or aggression. Meals and treats are simply given in his crate as a routine management practice.
What he wants most is simple: a loving, active home where he is cherished as a true companion. Whether joining an adventurous family, playing with a canine buddy, or bonding closely with devoted adults, he is ready to give his whole heart. His only request is that the people in his life treat him with the compassion, kindness, and respect every companion animal deserves.
This resilient, affectionate, slightly yodeling gentleman has come so far, even made it to the red carpet...LOL
