Sweetest little boy - surrendered by his owners in Mississippi - we don't know why - their loss, ours (and hopefully your) gain.
Although he's a senior, this guy is not ready to lie down and retire.
This handsome boy would be happiest as an only dog, as he tends to ignore other dogs and really enjoys having his human all to himself. He’s crate-trained and mostly housebroken, and he settles in nicely once he feels safe and comfortable in his home.
He’s a curious little guy on walks — still working on his leash skills because all those wonderful smells are just too interesting to pass up! Around the house, he’s content entertaining himself by tossing his small toys around and having his own little playtime.
A few things to know about him:
• Loves to cuddle and be close to his person
• Especially fond of men
• Will happily play with toys on his own
• Not a fan of cats (he enjoys chasing and barking at them)
• Eats soft food due to his teeth
• Overall seems to be in good health and doing well
What really makes him special is his gentle, affectionate nature. He’s truly such a sweetheart and would make a wonderful companion, especially for an older adult or someone looking for a calm, loving buddy to share the couch, quiet moments, and plenty of snuggles.
If you’ve been hoping to give a deserving senior dog a cozy, loving home, this little guy is ready to return that love tenfold

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need
