Meet Novy, a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. This charming black-and-tan Coonhound mix is about 1½ years old and as sweet as they come.

Novy was found weak and struggling beside a dumpster, suffering from a heavy flea infestation. She was rushed to the vet, where she received immediate care and a flea bath—and through it all, she remained gentle, trusting, and incredibly sweet. Thanks to that care, she has made a beautiful recovery and is now thriving in her foster home.

In foster care, Novy has shown herself to be very affectionate and playful. She enjoys spending time with people of all ages and has done wonderfully with both a nine-year-old child and teenagers. With other dogs, she has a very submissive, gentle nature and happily plays with her foster canine siblings during several outdoor play sessions each day.

Novy also loves her adventures. She enjoys leash walks and hops right into the car or truck without hesitation. Traveling is a favorite pastime—she’s content riding in the front or back seat, happily watching the world go by.

This gorgeous girl is both house-trained and crate-trained, barking to let her foster know when she needs to go outside. When left alone, she settles nicely in her crate with her chew toys.

Novy would do well as the only pet or in a home with another dog her size or larger. With her loving, affectionate personality and gentle spirit, she would make a wonderful companion and an ideal addition to a family ready to give her the forever home she deserves.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
