Meet Simon, a very loving and affectionate boy who is so eager to please and gets along well with everyone he meets. Age: Young
Gender: Male
Breeds: Australian Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler, Pit Bull Terrier
Simon was found in January 2025 on a rural road in Mississippi, a cold, frightened, malnourished and almost completely hairless young puppy. After only a month of rest, nutrition, treatment and love in foster care, he transformed into a beautiful, happy, healthy, playful young puppy.
He spent the first few months in an outdoor pen, waiting for a forever family that didn’t materialize. Now he is being fostered as an indoor dog learning the good manners of the fully grown young adolescent pup he has become.
Simon is such a quick learner and has done so well; making everyone so proud.
Simon gets along well with other dogs, and although his foster home doesn’t have cats, he has shown no interest in them during veterinary visits. He walks nicely on a leash, knows the “sit” command, and is a great traveler—loading easily and riding calmly in a crate in the back. Simon is already housebroken and crate-trained. He enjoys playing fetch with a rope toy and politely drops it at your feet, hoping you’ll toss it again rather than turning the game into tug-of-war.
While he is laid-back and well-mannered indoors, Simon still has plenty of happy puppy energy and enthusiasm, making him eager to run, play, and explore whenever he’s outside.
He is a very handsome pup with a gorgeous chocolate brown coat and cute white socks on all four feet.
Simon is so ready to meet his new forever family. He will return any attention and love shown to him ten-fold.
You could become the center of his universe and the object of his adoration.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
