Meet Pops — A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home

Pops is a sweet 10–12-year-old Lab mix with a heart as big as his soft, soulful eyes. His story starts on the side of a road in Memphis, where he was found wandering alone — incredibly, the director of Memphis Animal Shelter happened to drive by at just the right moment. Talk about good timing and a smart dog who knew where to be seen.

Pops is very new to us, but he’s already showing what a special boy he is. In his foster home, he’s getting along beautifully with the other dogs and is already showing solid house manners. He has the calm, easygoing presence that only a senior dog can offer — the kind that makes a house feel like a home.

We’re in the process of getting Pops fully vetted and will share updates as we learn more about him. What we do know already is this: Pops would make a wonderful companion for someone looking to open their heart to a senior dog and give him the loving, peaceful forever home he so deeply deserves.

If you’ve ever thought about giving a senior dog the best chapter of their life — Pops may be your guy.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
