Meet Peanut, the sweetest little lap-lover. This darling girl recently lost her home when her beloved owner passed away, and she’s now settling into a southern foster home while she waits for her second chance at forever. Despite all the change in her life, Peanut’s gentle, playful spirit still shines through.

Peanut gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is always ready to make a new friend. Her foster home is full of senior pups, and even when they get a little grumpy with her youthful energy, she stays calm and respectful.

She warms up to new people quickly and, once she does, she becomes your tiny shadow—following you from room to room with love in her eyes. Peanut's also great with the young toddler in her foster home.
She can be a little skittish at first and may try to slip out the door, so her new family should be mindful of that.

This girl is housetrained, great in the car, and not a fan of the crate—but she does just fine being left out and is a wonderful house guest. Peanut loves her toys, loves her naps, and absolutely loves curling up in bed at night.

She’d thrive in a medium-activity home or even with a younger senior who still enjoys a playful, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal little girl to brighten your days and warm your lap, Peanut is ready to snuggle her way into your heart.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
