Meet Cassandra — the tiny terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart!

Cassandra is an adorable, gentle little terrier who has blossomed beautifully since leaving a home with her five puppies where they weren't properly cared for. All her pups have found forever homes, so now it is mama's turn!
Now thriving in her southern foster home, she’s discovering what it truly means to be loved and she cannot wait for that to be her permanent future.

This precious girl adores playing with other dogs once she feels comfortable. At first introductions, she may try to show off her “alpha” side, but she warms up quickly and then the fun truly begins. Because of this, Cassandra would do best in a home with a friendly, easygoing dog who doesn’t mind letting her be the boss from time to time. She spends her days romping around the yard with her foster siblings and would love a home where playtime is part of the routine.

Cassie is also wonderfully cat-friendly. She simply ignores the kittens and adult cats in the home, making her a great fit for a multi-pet household.

Housetraining is coming along, and she’s already fully crate trained — she sleeps through the night like a champ. She also rides nicely in the car, making her a sweet little companion for errands or adventures.

Cassie would thrive in a medium-active home where she can enjoy play, companionship, and plenty of affection. She’s happiest with other dogs around, but she does like to run the show.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
