Gender: Female
Breeds: Vizsla, Terrier

Goldy’s start in life was incredibly tough. She was abandoned in an empty house with three other dogs and left to fend for herself for weeks. When she gave birth there, rescuers patiently earned her trust and finally brought her and her puppies to safety.
Her pups have all found loving homes, and Goldy—now spayed and thriving—has made incredible progress. She enjoys playing and roughhousing in a fenced yard, though she can still be protective of her food around other dogs.
Because she’s still learning to feel fully safe, Goldie will need new or stressful situations introduced slowly and careful supervision around food around other dogs only, humans no problem.
Goldie is ready for a loving home that understands her past and can give her the steady, happy future she deserves. She’s come so far—and she can’t wait to make someone’s home complete this holiday season!

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if needed.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
