🐾 Meet Bear!

This handsome man’s story started at a tough point in his life — a train ran over his leg, leaving him with open wounds and a long road ahead. 💔 But then, a kind vet tech met him, fell in love, and fundraised for his surgery and care. Thanks to her (and a lot of love), Bear got the amputation he needed and made a full recovery!

Now, you’d never know he’s missing a front leg — except for the cutest little hop when he walks. 🥹 He conquers stairs like a champ and learned all the best tripod tricks from his foster sister.

Bear is crate and potty trained, loves people, and is wonderfully submissive with other dogs.

He enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings and would thrive in a home with kids aged 7 and up. He also lives with a dog-savvy cat — he’s curious but respectful (especially after a polite swat 😅).

Most of all, Bear is the snuggliest, most loving boy who just wants to be by your side. 💕 His forever home is out there… and it’s just around the corner!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if required.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
