Meet Rosie, the loyal little supervisor you never knew you needed. She’s smart, steady, and happiest when she’s right by your side, making sure you’re doing everything correctly. (Don’t worry—she’ll silently judge your gardening technique but still love you anyway.) She’s the definition of a “helper Heeler,” always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Cattle Dog, Crossbreed
No Cats
Rosie’s story started when she was found as a stray puppy and taken in by a kind young mom. Sadly, when her owner became seriously ill and had to move out of state for medical treatment, Rosie couldn’t go with her. She’s now thriving in a loving southern foster home and is ready to find the forever family she deserves.
Rosie has a confident personality and can be a little opinionated when meeting new dogs. Think “middle management” rather than “troublemaker.” She generally warms up with proper introductions and currently enjoys playing with her 7-month-old Lab foster sister. She should be fed separately since she’s protective of her meals around other dogs, but she’s perfectly happy for people to be near her food.
This clever girl has already completed basic obedience training and loves having a job to do. She’s housetrained using a doggie door, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, and is learning that her crate is actually a magical place where treats appear.
When it’s time to clock out from supervising, Rosie knows how to have fun. She loves chasing tennis balls, splashing in her kiddie pool, attacking the garden hose like it’s her lifelong nemesis, and proudly carrying around giant stuffed toys that are almost as big as she is.
Rosie would love a family that can give her structure, exercise, and plenty of adventures. In return, you’ll get a devoted best friend, an enthusiastic sidekick, and a full-time quality control manager who will happily follow you from room to room—just to make sure you’ve got everything under control.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
