Ginger is a year old, 28 lb. terrier mix who’s shorter than your knee, but her personality makes up for her small stature. This little girl came to us after being left in a box outside with mange, but she hasn’t let her rough start dim her sparkle one bit.
She’s playful, lovable, and absolutely obsessed with toys — she’ll even throw them for herself if you’re not keeping up!
Because she was so hungry as a pup, Ginger developed some food aggression. An inexpensive slow-feeder bowl helps her pace herself when eating, and with consistency and patience, she’ll keep learning that she never has to worry about meals again.
Car rides make her nervous right now (being dumped once would scare anyone), but with gentle reassurance she can learn that cars mean adventures, not heartbreak.
If you move too fast, she might cower — because she’s still learning that people, even strangers, can be kind. Give her a minute, and she’ll be dancing, zooming, and cuddling like she’s known you forever.
Ginger also tested positive for parvo when she arrived, but she never showed a single symptom — tough girl doesn’t even know she’s tough.
Ginger is fun, silly, sweet, and so ready for someone who will show her that love can be safe and forever.
