Willow is about a year old, 30 lb Terrier mix who’s shorter than your knee, but full of joy. She and her sister were left in a box with mange, but Willow has blossomed into a fun, playful, lovable little character who lights up any space she’s in.
She LOVES toys, will happily run and play, and even throws toys for herself when she’s feeling extra silly.
Because she was so hungry as a pup — and had to compete with her littermate for every scarce meal — Willow developed some food aggression. She will need a slow-feeder bowl and to be fed separately while her little brain learns that food is safe, and she never has to fight for it again.
Car rides make her nervous right now (being dumped once is scary enough for a lifetime), but with patience and gentle encouragement, she’ll learn that cars lead to good things, not fear.
If you move too fast, she may cower — not because she’s done anything wrong, but because she’s still learning that people can be kind and predictable. Give her a moment, and she’ll wiggle right up for pets, snuggles, and allll the attention. 💛
Willow is playful, sweet, goofy, and full of heart — a little dog with a big personality who just needs someone to love her the way she loves life.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
