Micah’s story began when his mama, GG, was relinquished to a foster family and soon gave birth to a litter of eight. All the puppies were raised with excellent nutrition, healthcare, and plenty of love. Micah is the last of his litter still waiting for his forever home—and he’s more than ready to find it.
This social pup lives with his mom and brother and plays very respectfully with them. He’s had lots of exposure to dogs in his foster’s neighborhood and at the park; though he can be a little shy at first, he quickly warms up once other dogs approach him. He hasn’t lived with children, but he’s been calm and indifferent when meeting kids.
Micah is making great progress with house-training and already goes to the back door (and even scratches it) when he wants to go outside. He’s crate-comfortable and will settle down after a brief fuss when left alone. At night, he loves sleeping in bed with his foster’s son.
Like many puppies, Micah is a chewer, so he’ll need sturdy toys like Benebones and Kongs to keep him happy and safe. He’s a smart boy who already knows how to sit and wait politely for his food and treats, and he picks up on new things quickly. He also enjoys leash walks, gets good exercise, and rides calmly in the car.
Micah is a loving, playful, and intelligent pup who will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to share adventures, guidance, and plenty of affection.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
