Meet Maxine, a 7-month-old sweetheart that is the total package—fun, loving, and just the right amount of playful. Maxine adores people attention (especially belly rubs!) and is always ready to soak up affection.Age: Young
Gender: Female
Breeds: Border Collie, Terrier
Unknown with Cats/Kids
Her journey began in Mississippi, where she and her brother, Denzel (also up for adoption), were found as strays. Thankfully, kind rescuers gave them a second chance, and now Maxine is flourishing at a wonderful sanctuary in Tennessee while she waits for her forever family.
Maxine is a joy to be around—she does great in her kennel, enjoys her leash walks, and absolutely loves outdoor playtime.
She’s fantastic with other dogs and has a special gift for adjusting her play style to match theirs, making her an easy, happy fit in a multi-dog home.
For a young pup, Maxine has a really nice balance—she’s playful and fun without being over the top, and she knows how to settle into a calm, relaxed mode too.
If you’re looking for a friendly, adaptable, and affectionate pup to join your family, Maxine may just be the one!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
