Malvo came to us from a Memphis shelter, and this sweet boy is proving every day how resilient and loving he can be. While he’s still learning to trust, his confidence grows a little more each day—he now greets people with excitement and is discovering just how good it feels to be loved.
Malvo absolutely adores playing with other dogs and picks up so much from their company. He’s also doing great with kids over 10, and while he hasn’t been around younger children yet, we think he’ll be fine once he feels more secure.
This boy is fully housetrained, does well in his crate (just the occasional whimper), and listens beautifully when corrected. He’s still working on a few things—like gaining confidence on a leash and mastering stairs—but he’s a quick learner and eager to please. Left unattended, he may chew a little, but that’s just his way of keeping busy.
What Malvo needs most is a patient, loving family who can continue helping him build confidence at his own pace. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who is blossoming into the wonderful dog he was always meant to be.
Malvo is ready to meet the people who will give him the safe, forever home he deserves. Could that be you?

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
