Meet Lovely Luna!

Luna is a beautiful, petite, spirited girl who is ready for a fresh start with a family who will love and cherish her the way she deserves. She came from a home where she wasn’t receiving the care she needed, but thanks to a kind rescuer, she is now safe and learning what it means to be a happy, loved pup.

Luna is full of energy and personality—the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. She hasn’t had a ton of opportunities to play with other dogs, but she’s appears quite socialized and has shown no aggression. She’s a bit of a rough-and-tumble player, so a home with another young, active dog who can match her playful style would be ideal!

When it comes to people, Luna is a bit reserved at first but when she realizes your are good people, she will give you a nose boop to let you know she’s ready! She loves attention and affection, though she sometimes can be a little enthusiastic with her love. She’s still learning how to slow down and “hold back” a bit, but her happy heart always shines through.

Housetrained – no accidents in the house!

Loves car rides – calm and happy, staring out the window.

Food & toy friendly – no signs of guarding or aggression.

Playful & affectionate – she bonds quickly with her people.

Treat motivated for training - already knows some basic commands (sit, touch, lay)

Luna has a few things she’s working on, but she's making good progress, such as learning not to pull on the leash and feeling more secure when left alone.

She can be a little anxious if her people are gone, so she’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time.

She also needs supervision outdoors, even in a fenced yard, as she’s proven herself a bit of a climber!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
