Meet Roman!
This 9-month-old terrier mix is a 43lb cuddlebug who loves giving kisses and being the little spoon. Medium-sized and medium energy, Roman would make a great walking, jogging, or hiking buddy.

Found tied to a tree in Mississippi and covered in wounds, Roman has healed beautifully in foster care and is now a sleek, happy pup. He loves other dogs and would thrive with a well-adjusted dog friend (ideally 40lbs+) to play with and learn from. Because he’s still young and doesn’t like being alone, a crate is helpful when he’s unsupervised.

Roman is cat-curious but respectful and could live with feline friends. While he’s gentle with a toddler in his foster home, older kids (5+) may be a better match due to his size and puppy energy.

He enjoys car rides, Pup Cups, and most of all—being loved. Roman is ready for a forever family who’ll give him the time and patience to keep growing into the amazing dog he’s becoming.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
