Meet Bear Bear – Your Loyal Shadow, Adventure Buddy, and Professional Snuggler. Just like his name suggests, he’s strong, steady, and full of heart.

Bear is a 60-pound bundle of love who thinks he’s a chihuahua-sized lap dog—and honestly, we’re not going to tell him otherwise. This sweet, loyal boy is looking for his forever home after a rough start and a lot of change, and now he’s ready to find his person—someone he can love fiercely and follow faithfully.

Bear was found abandoned in a creek last April with his two brothers and one sister. His siblings have already made their way to loving homes in New England, and now it’s Bear’s turn. He was adopted locally last fall, but his adopter was sadly diagnosed with cancer and had to return Bear when she became too ill to care for him. Through it all, Bear has remained the same: sweet, loving, and loyal to the core.

Bear is what we call a velcro pooch. He needs to be near his person at all times—if he can’t see you, he’ll gently remind you with a soft whine. This boy gives top-tier snuggles and thrives on love, attention, and physical touch.
He is also the perfect outdoor companion who loves to run, take walks, and go on hikes. He even helps his foster mom tend the chicken coop and garden (he takes his chores very seriously).
He is fine with other dogs and even good with the resident cats!
He is great with older kids who can match his energy during the day and enjoy snuggles in the evening.

BB is crate trained and housetrained. He is also good on a leash and enjoys car travels.

This precious boy is the perfect balance of playful and calm. and would thrive in a home where someone is around often or can give him his needed love and attention. He’d love a fenced yard to run and play, and active humans who enjoy the outdoors as much as he does.

This boy has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone who will let him give it, fully and freely.
If you’re looking for a best friend who will be glued to your side, follow you from room to room, help you with your chores, and then curl up with you at the end of the day—Bear Bear is your boy.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
