Ruby recently came into rescue and has been nothing short of a gentle, resilient soul. After a tough pregnancy and an emergency C-section, Ruby has shown incredible strength and grace. While her journey started with challenges, Ruby decided she was ready for a fresh start—and she’s been thriving ever since.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Border Collie, Shepherd
From the moment she arrived at her foster home, Ruby fit right in. She’s bonded beautifully with the resident dog pack and brings a calm, comforting energy to the home. With her quiet presence and loving spirit, she’s the kind of dog who simply wants to be near her people and feel safe.
Ruby is truly chill at heart. She enjoys soft pets, easygoing walks, and finding the perfect spot to stretch out and relax. While she’s still recovering physically, she’s shown sweet glimpses of playfulness with her foster fur siblings and handles the everyday rhythm of a home with ease.

She’s great with kids and does well when left alone, too. Ruby doesn’t require much—just a soft place to land, a peaceful environment, and someone to love..

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
