Meet Oliver – A Brave Pup with a Big Heart!! Age: Baby
Gender: Male
Breeds: Husky, Crossbreed
Oliver is a precious puppy who hasn’t had the easiest start in life. He wandered up to a home that has a non dog friendly dog. One of the residents knew of a southern rescuer and she agreed to bring this boy into rescue. He was found to have has demodex, an injury to his ear and was full of fleas and ticks.
Oliver was initially slow to trust, but with time, love, and gentle care, his true personality shined. He is playful, affectionate, and always up for some fun with his toys—or even better, with his people! Like any pup his age, he’s still learning and enjoys a good chew, so puppy-proofing is a must.
True to his husky roots, Oliver loves to chat and has quite the personality. He still can be a little shy at first, but give him about an hour and you’ll have a cuddle buddy full of hugs and tail wags.
He’s already mastered a doggie door and knows to do his business outside. While he’s still working on his leash manners, he’s making progress every day.
After a tough beginning, Oliver is finally ready for his fresh start. He’s looking for a family that will love, train, and grow with him—and maybe even appreciate a good conversation or two!

The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicable
ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
