Meet Ella – Sweet, Spunky, and So Ready for Her Happily Ever After! 🐾Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Rat Terrier, Chihuahua
Ella is the perfect-sized pup with a huge heart and a second chance at life. After spending over a year in a Connecticut rescue shelter, this adorable girl is finally thriving in a loving foster home—and it shows! 💕
When Ella was first rescued, she was in rough shape—her skin was covered in rashes, patches of fur were missing, and she just wasn’t feeling her best. Shelter life took a toll on her both physically and emotionally. She was feisty, stressed, and very selective about who she let into her circle. But all that has changed.
Today, thanks to her dedicated foster family, Ella is healthy, happy, and full of love. Her skin has healed beautifully, her coat is shining, and her once-guarded heart is wide open. She adores her foster brother and loves to play, cuddle, and soak up all the affection she can get. 💗
Ella is located right here in New England, waiting for her forever family to find her. She’s been through a lot, but she never gave up—and she’s ready to give someone her whole heart.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
