Spencer is a spirited little guy with a big heart who's ready to leave his rough start behind and find the forever home he deserves. Found roaming the streets in a dirty T-shirt with a rope around his neck, Spencer’s past may be a mystery, but his future is full of promise.
Now safe and thriving, Spencer is proving himself to be a loyal companion who just wants to be with his people.

Spencer gets along well with other dogs, as long as he can be the boss, and he’s totally unbothered by the resident senior cat in his foster home.
He's still working on a few manners — he can get a little mouthy or jumpy when excited — so a home with older kids would be best.

He’s protective of his space and may bark at new visitors, but once he knows you, he’s all in.

Spencer is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and is making great progress with housetraining.

This adorable boy has such a playful spark and a loving soul. He is the kind of dog who’ll happily join you for walks or hikes, then curl up next to you for some well-earned couch cuddles.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who’s ready to give his whole heart to someone willing to do the same, Spencer might just be your perfect match.
Give Spencer a chance — he’s ready to turn the page and write his happily ever after with you.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
