On March 26, 2025, Badger—a stunning Border Collie mix—gave birth to 9 fluffy, adorable puppies in the comfort and safety of a loving foster home. But their story began long before that special day.
A kind-hearted young couple adopted Badger from a shelter in Tennessee. They adored her when she came home and gave her all the love she deserved. But during a routine visit to have her spayed, they got a big surprise—Badger was already pregnant... and very far along!
As college students living in a dorm while finishing up the school year, they knew they couldn't properly care for a mom and nine puppies, so they did the most loving thing possible—they reached out for help. While they plan to keep Badger (and still absolutely adore her), they’ve entrusted us with finding wonderful forever homes for her babies.
Now six weeks old, these puppies have been thriving under the care of their amazing foster family, the Millers. With plenty of love, snuggles, and playtime, they’re being socialized with people, other dogs, and animals. They’ve had their first vaccines and are staying with mom until at least 10 weeks old—crucial time for learning doggy manners and confidence.
They are a gorgeous bunch—some look like twins, while others are unique, suggesting a few different dads may have been in the picture (Badger had quite the fan club!).
If you’re looking for a sweet, social, and well-started puppy, one of Badger’s babies might be your perfect match. Stay tuned for individual bios coming soon!

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if required.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
