Meet Banana 🍌

Age: 2–3 years
Breed: Pointer mix
Gender: Female (spayed)
Location: Currently in Memphis, TN — but she's packed and ready for her New England debut!

Banana is as sweet and spunky as her name! This gorgeous girl has already done the hard work of motherhood — she raised an adorable litter of pups, all of whom have found their forever homes. Now it’s her turn to shine!

Banana is crate trained, great with kids (she adores the young boys in her foster home), and plays well with other dogs. She’s even been respectful around indoor cats — but once she’s outside, her prey drive kicks in big time. She spots a squirrel three football fields away? She’s GONE. 🏃‍♀️💨 For that reason, leash training and a secure fenced yard are must-haves.

This girl has serious Pointer instincts — nose to the ground, eyes on the prize. She’ll thrive in a home that understands her drive and gives her the space (and boundaries!) she needs to stay safe and happy.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and downright lovable companion with a zest for adventure and a heart of gold, Banana is your girl.

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if required.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
