Meet Lance – Now LOCAL to New England!Age: Baby
Gender: Male
Breeds: Labrador Retriever, Shepherd
Lance is now a local sensation, and he’s looking for the perfect family to call his own! This charming little guy is full of personality and loves to have a good time with his toys and the other dogs in his foster home. Lance is still a loving pup who enjoys companionship—he just likes to keep a little mystery about him, acting a bit like he's playing hard to get! Give him time, and he will warm right up to you!
Lance is happiest when he’s around other dogs, and he thrives in their company. He’s very affectionate with his foster mom and has developed strong bonds with his furry friends. He would do best in a home with other dogs where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the social atmosphere.
While we never completely guarantee a 15 week old pup is housetrained, Lance has not had an accident in his foster home (he is let out on a schedule). He sleeps through the night in a crate without any issues.
Lance is fantastic with kids (currently living with children aged 7-12), so he’d make a great fit for an active family looking for a playful and affectionate puppy. Although Lance is still a young pup, he has a laid-back demeanor and would love a forever family who can give him the attention, love, and care he needs as he continues to blossom. As with ALL puppies, Lance will need basic obedience training so he can learn what is expected of him in his new home.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and slightly mysterious puppy who will shower you with affection and keep you on your toes with his cool attitude, Lance might be the perfect match for you!

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
