Special Needs
Tobias is an adorable Australian Shepherd puppy with a stunning white and grey coat. He and his sister Abigail, who is also for adoption, were found all alone in a wooded area by a young family who asked one of our southern rescuers for help finding him a home.
He's already showing his sweet and affectionate nature at just a few months old. This little guy loves snuggles and giving hugs—he's an actual cuddle bug!
Toby enjoys playing with his smaller foster siblings and has been great around children and elderly visitors. Though he hasn't been on a leash yet, he's a confident traveler and handles car rides like a pro. He's crate-trained and uses puppy pads but will need continued training as he grows.
Toby is deaf, but that doesn't slow him down one bit! He will thrive with the right training and a patient, loving family. He's looking for a home ready to embrace his puppy antics and help him become the best family member possible.
Oh, and one more thing—he loves house shoes and might just try to steal them right off your feet!
If you're ready for a fun-loving, affectionate companion, Tobias awaits you!

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.
PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
