Meet Shelby, your future best friend and ultimate sidekick! This sweet, girl is always ready for an adventure.
Whether that means a car ride, a hike, playtime: this gal loves to go! She would thrive in a sport of some kind - nose work, dock diving, agility - we are talking award winning talent right here in this girl!!!

This black-and-white beauty was recently rescued from the streets and is fully recovered from a hip injury that required surgery, but she doesn’t let that slow her down.

She loves playing fetch with her squeaky balls and romping in the snow. You would never know her body has a different story to tell.

A loyal, loving pup who is eager to learn and please, Shelby enjoys playing with other dogs after slow and proper introduction.

She’s eager to find her forever home and is excited for all the memories and adventures you’ll create together.

Shelby is the perfect companion for someone looking to do life together. She will be the perfect training pal! She understands boundaries, but is a typical puppy.

Shelby is currently being fostered in New England and this time is being spent working on her basic obedience. She is working on her leash manners and life experiences.

She kennels like a pro. She is also fully house trained!

If you’re ready for a loving and loyal companion who will bring endless fun, excitement and affection to your life, Shelby is the one for you!

ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.

PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
