Say hello to Hank Frank, a truly good boy who LOVES people and other dogs.Age: Young
Gender: Male
Breeds: Husky, Crossbreed
No Cats
Hank was seen by a vets teenage sons shivering and sitting by trash cans at an unoccupied home. They were concerned and decided to go back a few hours later to see if he was still there, and he was. Hank came
right up to them and was more than happy to go with them. Unfortunately, they could not bring him into their house since they owned a dog who is not very fond of others. So vet mom brought him to her clinic, where he is now boarding.
Hank Frank (his two rescuers could not agree on a name, so mom used both!) is respectful to other dogs and shows appropriate social cues around them. He is kennel and leash trained and potty training so well.
This boy understandably sometimes get anxious in his kennel if his exercise has been limited that day. This occasional lack of activity and boredom will sometimes lead to him chewing his crate blankets, but he does very well with appropriate chew toys (filled Kongs etc).
Therefore, Hank will need and just LOVE an active family and/or fenced in yard to play in!
He adores kids, but is too interested in the clinic cats, so we feel a a no-cat household would be best.
He rides well in a car, so would be a good travel companion.
As a veterinarian, his "foster" sees a LOT of dogs, and all her senses and experience say Hank Frank is very
worthy of a family. He is more affection motivated than food motivated. He is doing very well being trained not to jump with excitement when let out of his kennel. But he’d rather have a pat on the head than a treat!
Hank Frank will make an exceptional pet for a family.....perhaps yours?
