Introducing Marty, a fun-loving, goofy, and always playful adult pup!

Marty boy used to wander up to one of our southern fosters home with some other strays to be fed. One day, he showed up alone with significant injuries. It appeared he was attacked a few days before since the wounds looked a bit older. He was taken to a vet, where he was tended to for a few weeks. He also started treatment for heartworm, which was also discovered.

The true Marty emerged as a dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's a people person and loves nothing more than to show his affection and be the center of attention.
He has been fine with other dogs despite what happened.
He does walk pretty good on a leash, but still is learning not to pull, so he has does better with a harness.

He is full of energy and is always eager to play, so watch out - he can get a bit carried away and knock over your coffee!

Marty has not been crated much as of late, but he did do fine with crating when he was at the vets office. He is also in the process of being housetrained.

This guy is a smart guy who's always up for a game of fetch, or if you're feeling lazy after a long day, he'd be just as happy curling up on the couch with you for a movie....the best of both worlds.

While Marty has lots of love to give, it appears that this poor guy has never had a family of his own to love. He will need an adopter that has time and patience as this boy learns to understand what is expected of him being a loved household member.

With his good looks and charming personality, Marty is sure to steal your heart.
Are you ready to welcome this sweet boy into your home?

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
