Meet Kanga – The Mama With a Heart of Gold

Just before Thanksgiving, Kanga was found doing what she does best—loving fiercely and protecting her nine tiny puppies under an abandoned house. With her pups now safe and thriving in their forever homes, it’s finally Kanga’s turn to be cherished.

This gentle girl is the definition of laid-back. She enjoys short strolls, cozy naps, and quiet moments by your side. Kanga is wonderful with kids, never jumps, and has a calm, nurturing spirit that makes her easy to love.

She’s crate-trained, house-trained, and completely trustworthy when left alone—no mess, no fuss, just a happy pup waiting for your return. While she gets along with most dogs, Kanga would prefer to be the only pet or live with one or two mellow, respectful canine companions (ideally male). She does like her space during mealtime.

Looking for a low-maintenance snuggle buddy with a big heart? Kanga is ready to trade her days of motherhood for a life full of love, belly rubs, and well-earned rest.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
