Meet Georgie - The Energetic and Fun-Loving Pup of the Hooks Hound Litter!

Georgie is a playful, affectionate, and energetic pup who is ready to start his next adventure with a loving family! Rescued from the woods with his siblings, Georgie has grown into a healthy, heartworm-negative, happy boy who is always up for fun and exploration. He’s a bundle of energy who loves to run, jump, and play—whether in a big fenced yard or taking long walks where he can sniff all the wonderful outdoor smells.

Georgie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, so he’d love to have a furry sibling in his new home. While he’s great with people, his playful energy might be a bit much for small children, so he’d be best suited to a family with older kids who can keep up with his fun-loving spirit. Georgie has not had much exposure to cats, but he could be tested if needed.

Georgie is still learning the ropes when it comes to leash training. He doesn’t mind wearing a leash, but he’s still figuring out exactly what it means. A patient owner will help him continue to grow and develop confidence on walks. Georgie rides well in the car, always crated for safety, and is doing great with crate training—though he hasn’t been crated for long periods yet. He’s also learning to signal when it’s time to go outside to potty, thanks to the doggy door in his foster home.

This active young boy needs a home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A family who loves the outdoors and has a big yard would be ideal for Georgie, as he thrives when he’s kept busy. He’s looking for a fun, loyal companion who can give him the love and attention he craves.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need
