Meet Gracie - The sweetest, most affectionate pup of her litter who is so ready to find her forever family! Gracie was rescued from an abandoned state in the woods with her siblings, and with lots of care and love, she has blossomed into a healthy, energetic, and social dog.Age: Young
Gender: Female
Breeds: Hound, Terrier
Unknown with Cats
Gracie’s joyful personality shines through in everything she does—she’s always the first to greet you with a wagging tail and lots of excitement. While she is incredibly friendly and loves to make new friends, she does need a bit of training to learn that not everyone appreciates being jumped on. She’s a girl who gets extra excited when her humans come home, so a home where she can get gentle guidance on her bounciness will help her grow into the perfect companion!
Gracie is great with other dogs and loves playing and running with her foster siblings. She’s also friendly with children, though her bouncy energy might be a bit much for little ones. Gracie hasn’t had exposure to cats, but she could be tested if needed.
Like the rest of the Hooks Hounds, Gracie is an active pup who thrives in a home where she can get plenty of exercise, like running in a large yard or going for daily walks. She’s also making progress with leash manners, though she’s still learning to walk politely on a lead. Gracie does well in the car, riding safely in a crate, and is learning to signal when it’s time for a potty break.
If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and loyal companion who will keep you on your toes with her fun-loving spirit, Gracie might just be the perfect match for your family!

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
