Meet Ulani, a sweet and loving companion ready to find her forever home!

Ulani is a happy girl who loves to run and play outdoors, and she gets along great with the two kids in her foster home, ages 9 and 13. She enjoys toys, chewing on bones, and is always up for some affectionate snuggles.
While she loves being around her people, she is also content to relax on her own in a comfy dog bed or your lap.

Ulani spent her previous life chained in a yard 24/7 through all extremes of weather. She obviously did not have much access to food as she was very emaciated when finally rescued.

This lovely lady is now housetrained and has free reign of her foster home during the day, but she also goes into her crate willingly when needed.
Ulani does have some work to do on leash manners, as she tends to pull with excitement and wants to explore everywhere.

Though Ulani is a wonderful companion, she doesn’t do well with other dogs and would thrive best as the only pet in the household.
She also experiences anxiety during thunderstorms and needs a little extra care. When storms are brewing, her foster keeps her in a covered kennel partially tucked into a closet to help her feel safe.
Trazodone is used to manage her anxiety when needed, but she’s generally calm when it’s just light rain.

Ulani is looking for a patient and loving home where she can truly flourish as your one and only.
Could that be with you?

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
