Mikey is a 5yr old, 60lb lab/cattle dog mix in search of his furever family. He is the perfect mix of playful, smart and cuddly.

At his age, he has grown out of the rambunctious puppy stage, is house trained and knows basic commands which he loves to show off.
He walks well on a leash and is calm in the home when alone, no crate needed.
His favorite things are fetch, playing in water, car rides, and challenging himself to carry as many toys as possible at once. He will often grab a toy to bring with him when he gets excited.

Mikey was adopted as a puppy but returned to Paws when new toddlers in the home were making him too anxious. Since being in his foster home he is thriving. He is living with kids over 10 and adores them. He can usually be found following them around with a toy or two in his mouth or laying next to them with a paw resting in their lap.

Mikey has attended a doggy playgroup and does well playing with other respectful dogs. He would be happy to share his home with a laid back dog or be the center of attention.

He enjoys food puzzles and games and is very focused when training. He has even started doing some agility work.

Mikey is ready to be someone's best buddy and continue to show off what a smart and affectionate boy he truly is.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.

Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
