June Bug was found running loose in Arkansas and, sadly, was never claimed. After spending time in a loving foster home, PAWS was asked to help find this wonderful girl the forever family she deserves.
If you're looking for a four-legged babysitter, June Bug is ready to volunteer! She adores children of all ages, loves playing with them, and has even been known to curl up on the floor for a nap beside them. She's still learning that jumping up to give hugs isn't always necessary, but her enthusiasm comes from a place of pure love!
June Bug gets along with dogs of all sizes, although she does enjoy being the BOSS and can play pretty rough. A submissive canine companion could be a good match, but she'd be equally happy soaking up all the attention herself. She does need to be fed separately from other dogs, although she has no issues with people around her food.
This smart girl is housetrained using a doggy door, crate trained, and a quick learner who easily picks up new routines. She may need a little adjustment to a new potty schedule without a doggy door.
Crating when home alone is recommended, as her mischievous side occasionally takes over, especially when there's food to be found!
She's also wonderful on leash, enjoys outings and social events, and is a terrific traveler who rides quietly while watching the world go by.
June Bug's ideal home would be an active, loving family, preferably with children to play with and adore! A fenced yard would be a bonus but isn't required, as long as she gets plenty of exercise, walks, adventures, and family time.
June Bug is a fun-loving, affectionate, incredibly smart girl who wants nothing more than to spread happiness wherever she goes. She's ready to give one lucky family a lifetime of loyalty, laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.
Adoption fees cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary. The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
