Bud is a sweet handsome young boy is ready for his next chapter — finding a loving family who will give him the security, patience, and love he deserves.

Bud hasn't had the easiest start in life. Found as a thin stray in Mississippi, this precious boy was understandably a little frightened at first. But once he realized he was safe, his sweet, affectionate personality began to shine.

Bud is a playful, energetic youngster who absolutely loves attention and affection. He enjoys spending time with his people and playing with other dogs, although he can be a little shy and submissive when first meeting new canine friends.
He's also good with children and adults of all ages, including seniors. Like many young dogs, Bud is still learning his manners. He occasionally jumps up and playfully nips in a herding-type manner, so his foster family is working on teaching him more appropriate ways to express his excitement.

This active boy is making progress with leash walking and house training, and he currently uses a doggie door. He also did well traveling to the vet, relaxing comfortably in his crate during the ride. He hasn't yet been crate trained at home.

Bud's ideal family will be one that understands he's still a young, energetic pup who needs exercise, guidance, consistency, and plenty of patience. Most importantly, he needs someone who will continue building his confidence and showing him that the world can be a safe, wonderful place.

Despite his rough beginning, Bud has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give him a chance. With a little patience and a whole lot of love, this sweet boy is sure to become a wonderful, devoted companion.
Could you be the happy ending Bud has been waiting for?

The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
