Meet Mama Reba, a beautiful, brave girl who has finally finished raising her babies and is ready for a forever home of her very own!

Reba was rescued from a farm along with her nine tiny, two-week-old puppies. Having had little to no human interaction, this sweet mama had a difficult road ahead. Not only was she caring for her babies, but she was also battling several medical issues, including pyometra, which required an emergency spay, and a tick-borne disease that required treatment.

Despite everything she had been through, it didn't take Reba long to discover how wonderful human love and affection could be! She was an amazing, devoted mama to her nine puppies (who are also available for adoption!), and now it's finally her turn to be someone's cherished baby!

With her puppies weaned and her health improving beautifully, Reba is blossoming more and more every day. She is a sweet, gentle girl who loves everyone she meets, although she can be a little shy initially. She has done well meeting other dogs, walks nicely on a leash without pulling, and is a wonderful car passenger. While she hasn't spent much time in a crate, she willingly entered one and did just fine when needed.

Reba would thrive in a loving home with a family willing to give her a little time to settle in and continue building her confidence. With patience, kindness, and plenty of affection, this deserving girl will surely blossom into a wonderful companion.

Reba has spent so much of her life simply surviving and caring for others. Now it's her turn to be loved, spoiled, and treasured for the rest of her life.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  

Adoption fees cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary. The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
