Grumpy is one of nine puppies from two different litters - that's where this pup came from - traveled to Mississippi to foster homes here in New England - they are the lucky ones.

These pups started their lives by being abandoned on a farm in rural Mississippi - the owner of the farm and her hired helpers tried to care for them but sadly some got onto the road and were killed. That's when they went to Jessica at Hernando Animal Shelter and asked for help - she said yes, used Paws NE if we would help, we also said yes, so now we need you to say yes - only to one, not all nine (lol).

He just happens to sport the most adorably serious expression you’ve ever seen. As the biggest boy of the litter, weighing in, Grumpy is a chill, happy-go-lucky pup with a delightfully relaxed personality.
While he enjoys taking it easy, he’s always down to wrestle and play when his sister Sleepy gets the action started.

Grumpy is VERY food motivated, which will make training sessions a complete breeze as he learns the ropes of being a family dog. He’s already proving to be a star in the house, sleeping straight through the night in his crate from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM without an accident.

This big, handsome boy is going to make an incredible, loving addition to a lucky family!

Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.
Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.
Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)
Housetrained:  Not usually
Microchipped: Yes

Puppy Adoption Fee:  $500.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)
                                      $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee applies to Massachusetts residents.

Adoption Fee Includes:
~Preadoption vaccinations, complete examinations, and microchipping.
~Spay/neuter surgery rebate, paid to the adopter once proof of surgery is provided to Paws New England. We are happy to provide a list of low-cost spay/neuter clinics upon request.

ATTENTION: 
Puppies are wonderful—but they are also a big commitment. Before applying, please make sure you're ready for the time, patience, and training they require.

>Puppies should not be crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
>Your home will need to be puppy-proofed.
>Expect chewing, nipping, scratching, accidents, and lots of supervision while they learn.
>If you have young children, be sure they're prepared for normal puppy behavior.
>Training, socialization, exercise, and consistency are essential.  

Unless you're an experienced dog owner and your Adoption Coordinator is comfortable with your experience, you will be required to attend puppy training and/or behavior classes. Our goal is to help you and your puppy build a happy, successful, lifelong relationship.

Important Information

Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout the South and New England.

Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.
