Meet our royal mama, Princess! 👑 This adorable low-rider pittie mix is a laid-back, lower energy sweetheart who is more than ready for her turn to be someone’s cherished baby.Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Breeds: Pit Bull Terrier, Crossbreed
Princess once had an owner, but while they were out of town, she was left with family who were unable to properly care for her and allowed her to roam. Sadly, she became pregnant while wandering the streets of Memphis and eventually ended up at Memphis Animal Services. When her owner was contacted, they chose to surrender her, and Princess found herself in danger of losing her life. Thankfully, she was rescued on her very last day. ❤️ About a month later, safe in her foster home, she gave birth to five puppies and has been a wonderful mama.
Now that her mothering days are coming to an end, Princess is ready for a peaceful life of her own. She is calm and gentle around all, including children she has met. She lives successfully with her foster’s seven dogs and does well when given proper, slow introductions. A calm canine companion who respects her laid-back personality could be a great match. And she shows no interest in cats.
Princess is housetrained and crate trained with no accidents in either the house or her crate. She knows how to use a dog door and will also go to the door and bark when she needs to go outside. She walks nicely on leash without pulling or becoming reactive and is an excellent traveler, quietly settling down in her crate for car rides without whining.
Princess is truly a low-key girl. She’s happiest snoozing on her dog bed, relaxing at her person’s feet, or wandering outside for a little sunbathing. Toys really aren’t her thing—she prefers the simple pleasures in life! She may bark when she hears something outside or around the house, but she listens well when corrected.
Princess would love a home that matches her current easygoing energy, (which may increase a bit after her heartworm treatment and now that she has given birth), ideally with a fenced yard where she can stroll around and find the perfect sunny spot for a nap. After everything this sweet mama has been through, she deserves a quiet, loving forever home where she can finally relax and be the one who is spoiled.

Adoption fees cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary. The adoption fee is set at a level that enables adoption; they do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!
Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
