Peter may have started life on the streets of Memphis, but you would never know it from the amount of love he has to give. At just 6 months old, this sweet, affectionate puppy is making the most of his second chance in foster care and is ready to find the forever family he's been waiting for.

If you're looking for a best friend who always wants to be by your side, Peter is your boy. He's a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his people. He is also a wonderful listener who is eager to please and just wants to be loved.

Peter has never met a stranger. He adores everyone he meets, from children to adults, and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. He's equally wonderful with other animals, absolutely loving his foster canine siblings and getting along beautifully with the family's Maine Coon cat.

This handsome pup is already off to a great start with his training. He walks nicely on a leash with very little pulling and naturally stays close, making him a wonderful walking companion. He enjoys car rides too, usually settling into the passenger seat for a peaceful nap. Peter is almost completely house-trained with only the occasional accident, and he's fully crate trained, staying clean and comfortable in his crate.

Like any young puppy, Peter will benefit from continued training and guidance as he grows into adulthood. His ideal home would be an active family that will include him in daily adventures, provide plenty of exercise, and shower him with the love he craves. He would especially enjoy having another playful dog in the home to wrestle, romp, and burn off puppy energy with.

Peter has already overcome a difficult beginning. Now all he needs is a family to show him that his happiest days are still ahead. In return, he'll reward you with endless cuddles, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love.

Important Information:  Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout the South and New England.

Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.

When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance. Thank you for supporting our mission and making rescue possible.
