Dexter’s journey began when he was picked up as a stray by animal control in Tennessee. Thankfully, he's now safe in a loving southern foster home where his sweet personality is shining brighter every day as he patiently waits for his forever family.
This smart, lovable pup adores his canine foster siblings and would be thrilled to have a playful dog companion in his new home. He's making progress with his puppy house training, is already crate trained, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. Dexter has also proven to be an easy travel companion, staying calm and quiet in his crate during car rides.
Like any young puppy, Dexter will benefit from a family committed to continuing his training, socialization, and positive reinforcement as he grows into an amazing adult dog. He would thrive in a somewhat active home where he can enjoy plenty of playtime, adventures, and, of course, lots of cuddle sessions with the people he loves.
If you're ready to welcome a sweet, intelligent puppy with a heart full of love and a lifetime of loyalty to give, Dexter is ready to meet you.

Your adoption donation helps cover veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses for your adopted dog. It also helps us continue to save senior dogs and dogs with serious medical needs or injuries. While their adoption donations are often reduced, their veterinary costs are typically much higher.
When you adopt a young, healthy dog or puppy, you're also helping us give another dog a second chance. Thank you for supporting our mission and making rescue possible.
